First, download the PC port files on your desktop and transfer them to your Steam Deck using Desktop Mode. Add the executable as a non-Steam game in Steam, then switch back to Gaming Mode to launch it. You can adjust controller settings in Steam to match the original N64 layout for a smoother experience.

You can pretty much just download it, run the app image to select your rom. Add the app image to steam so it shows up as a non-steam game.

Done.

The audio part will automatically input itself after loading with the below edit.

"Window": {
"Backend": {
"Id": 1,
"Name": "OpenGL"

Thanks -- turns out I has bigger problems. I wasn't using a v1.1 file. Now it works like a charm. Thanks for this awesome guide!

Had the same issue, but its not important. Just close the window and you’re all set.

Tried adding it in myself, but it still crashes the game...

This makes it impossible to press any key when prompted, as only the touch screen works. I am stuck at this step. How is everyone managing to do this?
