A new SteamOS beta update was released that fixes a couple of issues on the Steam Deck. Wake-on-bluetooth support for the Steam Deck LCD has been disabled since it could cause random wake-ups, and there was a bug that could cause the Discover app in Desktop Mode to fail updates. I have experienced both of these issues, so it's nice to see them fixed. There was also a fix for an issue that could prevent updating from older builds of SteamOS.

You can download the updates yourself in the System Settings on the Steam Deck. Make sure your update channel is set to Beta or Preview.

SteamOS 3.7.17 Beta Update Changelog:

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent updating from specific older builds of SteamOS
  • Fixed a bug with the Discover app in desktop mode that could cause update failures in some scenarios
