It’s always a treat to see new handhelds being released, and it’s almost time for AYANEO to show off their next two Android handhelds, with one in particular I’m very excited to see more of. Tomorrow, AYANEO will be doing a livestream to show off both the KONKR Pocket Fit and AYANEO Pocket Air Mini. And while we do have details for each handheld already, with the KONKR Pocket Fit already being available to pre-order, this will most likely just be a final showcase of both handhelds before they are shipped out.

The AYANEO Pocket Air Mini will most likely be the star of the show, with the pre-orders going live a day after the showcase, and going to be the handheld I am personally watching for the most. Not only is this tiny handheld capable of playing emulated games up to the PSP, PS2, and GameCube, but it's also very affordable, with two options coming in at $69 or $79, depending on whether you want 2GB or 3GB RAM.
I love how small it is, fitting perfectly in a pocket with a 4:3 1280x960 resolution display, and it looks perfect to play some of my classic, favorite old handheld games like Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Edition, Sonic Battle, and I want to try some PSP games like Peace Walker and Valkyria Chronicles. I love my Steam Deck and more powerful handheld PCs, but having a tiny handheld to play these older games, especially if they are working with Retro Achievements, will be very appreciated.

AYANEO will also be showing their KONKR Pocket Fit, which definitely has more power. With the Pocket Air Mini being designed more for retro emulation and small-scale Android titles, the KONKR Pocket Fit is able to withstand much more demanding emulators and even PC emulation to possibly play some PC games. I can see it being pretty easy to enjoy on the 6-inch 1920x1080 LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate.
The KONKR Pocket Fit is currently on IndieGoGo for pre-ordering, with the cheapest option sitting at $239 for the super early bird price. However, it seems the most popular is the $299 version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It looks like a solid deal for a budget handheld, pushing power with a sub-$300 price tag.

If you are curious about the handhelds and want to see more of them in action, AYANEO's product showcase will be tomorrow, October 13th, at 8:30 AM EST. I am looking forward to watching it myself, especially since the Pocket Air Mini's pre-orders should be going live on October 14th. The livestream will be taking place over on their YouTube channel.
