Handheld PCs are getting more and more powerful, and a new contender for the most powerful handheld PC available is almost here. Moments ago, ONE-Netbook announced that they will be holding a livestream to launch the new OneXFly APEX, a beast of a handheld that will be using the ultra-powerful APU that the GPD WIN 5 has: The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395.

OneXFly Apex Launch Event

In the email, they confirm that the launch event will be taking place tomorrow at 7:00pm UTC+8, which is around 4:00am PT or 7:00am ET. In the livestream, CEO of ONE-Netbook, Jack, will be going into a deep dive of the development, design, and features of the handheld, and honestly, I am very excited.

The OneXFly APEX sports that ultra powerful Max+ 395 APU, which will blow current mainstream handhelds like the ROG Xbox Ally X and Legion Go 2, out of the water. It will also have an 85Wh external battery, an 8 inch 120Hz VRR display, and options for up to 128GB RAM. The display will most likely be an LCD panel, similar to the Xbox Ally X, but will also have an option for external liquid cooling, which is interesting.

The email attached showcases the handheld playing Cyberpunk 2077 with raytracing on and hitting over 80 FPS. It doesn't say whether they are playing at a specific quality level, but pure raytracing performance is quite nice to see. They also mention the resolution is 1900x1200, and that it's using around 55W power.

The livestream will be happening over on YouTube, and they have a page up so you can be notified as soon as they are ready to go live. I, for one, am excited to see this development, and I can't wait to see exactly what the handheld looks like, what ports it will have, and the external liquid cooling they are talking about.
