Cat Quest III is nearly a year old now, and the developers at GentleBros have a new big update available now!

Called the Tavern Tale update, this chunky new patch allows players to choose various tales from the in-game tavern, each retelling the story of one of the game’s epic boss battles. Naturally of course, people lie when telling stories in the pub and that means gameplay changes!

Each boss battle now has new modifiers with increasing difficulty, such as the Boar King’s meteors or Captain Meowtallika’s electrical pulses during his concert battle. Winning these challenges rewards the player with new companions. There’s something about pirate games that always grab me, and Cat Quest III is fantastic.
