If you were one of the ones worried about the apparent radio silence from Valve regarding the Steam Machine, AMD is here to allay your fears. According to AMD CEO Lisa Su during AMD's earnings call earlier this week, "Valve is on track to begin shipping its AMD-powered Steam Machine early this year."

That being said, we're running out of time in "Early 2026", so we could see the launch of the Steam Machine at any moment, given that most people's interpretation of "Early 2026" would end by April.
The elephant in the room here is, of course, the price. The price for PC components is, in fact, still rising thanks to the AI boom, which could be why Valve is staying very quiet in this regard; it's possible that pricing is still a little up in the air, even internally.
Valve has pretty much confirmed that the Steam Machine will cost more than $600, as in interviews with various media outlets, they have stated that it will be priced in line with the PC market, as opposed to the console market, so they aren't trying to compete with the $550 PS5 on price. But whether it ends up being $700 or $1000 is the big question here.
Do you think the Steam Machine will hold to its "Early 2026" launch date? What do you think the device will likely cost? Let us know in the comments below.
