PLAION REPLAI has announced the revival of the Commodore 64 with THEC64 mini - Black Edition. Up to 25 titles that are the creation of the underground C64 development scene are featured in this new edition of the mini console. The console is set to launch in October, so make sure to add it to your collection.

A global publisher and developer of retro video game software and hardware (PLAION REPLAI) and creators of the acclaimed THEC64 range (Retro Games Ltd. (RGL)) just unveiled the arrival of THEC64 mini – Black Edition on October 24, 2025.

With a bold matte-and-gloss black finish, the Black Edition of the THEC64 mini is a collectible redesign of the 8-bit machine. Fans can expect 25 pre-installed neo-classic retro games in the THEC64 mini – Black Edition. Most of these games are highly rated C64 games.

THEC64 mini – Black Edition shows us that the creativity on the platform never ends. This Edition will give more than fans can expect.

PLAION has also shared an announcement trailer for the THEC64 mini, showcasing the design.

New matte and gloss black finish for the console and keyboard, along with the 25 pre-installed Neo-Retro games, and Plug-and-play high definition 720p, 50 or 60Hz output via HDMI for modern TVs are included in this Special Edition. This doesn’t end here, as we also get Multiple USB ports to support the connection of joysticks, gamepads, USB sticks, and keyboards, along with four save game slots per game.

Yeti Mountain, Spinning Image, Stell Ranger, A Pig Quest, Hessian, Joe Gunn: Gold Edition, Hunter’s Moon Remastered, It’s Magic 2, Runn ‘N’ Gunn, Guns ‘N’ Ghosts, Metal Warrior Ultra, Millie & Molly, Rocky Memphis: The Legend of Atlantis, Good Kniight, Planet Golf, Nixy and the Seeds of Doom, P0 Snake, Grid Pix, Caren an the Tangled Tentacles, Ooze: The Escape, Sam’s Journey, Shadow Switcher, Pains ‘N’ Aches, Knight ‘N’ Grail, and Galencia are included in the full pre-installed games lineup.
